"Let brotherly love continue – Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so; some have unwittingly entertained angels.”
The Food Pantry provides groceries to residents of the Colleton County area. In addition to food, assistance is provided to help citizens connect with service to receive housing assistance and utility assistance through other agencies.
Food Pantry Guidelines:
- First time participants need to show both a picture ID and a food stamp (SNAP) card or an application for food stamps from DSS. Only the person who owns the food stamp card may apply for food.
- Individuals can receive ONE BAG of food per month, with a maximum of one bag of food per household per month. No one may take a bag for another individual unless a physical disability is noted.
- Bethel United Methodist Church is able to offer this food pantry through donations only, and not through any Federally Funded Programs. The food pantry is open at the times and on the days listed above, with date changes around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Food will only be distributed during the scheduled times and days listed.
